I live in a 3 year old mobile and possibly need a GFI replaced as it shorts out every time the sump pump is plugged in. The GFI has electricity until the sump pump is plugged in and I have plugged in two outdoor electrical cords in the same GFI and they both work fine. I also possibly require a separate circuit breaker for the sump pump put on the circuit panel box. I need someone to climb under the mobile and check the wiring for this GFI to see if there is simply a loose wire as when I plug in the electrical cord for my cordless lawn mower to charge the battery through this GFI , the GFI does not short out over the 15 hour charging period.
I also need someone to check the wiring for my back door door bell as I have bought a new unit, connected it and get no ring, just a muffled very subdued tone.

Hi Brenda, I agree that you should post your project but you should realise that you have done your own diagnoses of the problem. If the GFI works for everything except the sump pump, then it is the sump pump that is the problem. A separate circuit for the pump is an excellent idea.
The door bell sounds like it is working but there may be a stray bit of packing material that you didn't see when you took it out of the box. That is all it would take to muffle the sound.
Good Luck!
