I plan on starting my handyman business in Quebec. I cannot find information about license requirements or information about what jobs I can and cannot perform and if there are any dollar amount limits for certain jobs. The Regie du Batiment Quebec is very vague and doesn't address "handyman" anywhere on the site.
Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thanks.
Tracy
you can do every kind of reparation but don't touch water or electric connections. yes you need a license.
Tracy,
I think you might want to start with contacting BDC Business Development Corp, then visiting your local library and doing a demographics study of your competition, then a business plan and financial forecast for your business for the next 5 years. But first Call or Visit the Building Department and having a Face to Face meeting to find out the licencing, insurance and registration costs.
Hope this helps
lisa
I may have posted a similar question earlier but forgot. My apologies.
Thank you for the advice.
With regard to water and electrical...this wouldn't include replace outlets or p traps would it?
