I want to start a handyman business in Quebec, Canada. Do I need a license? Where can I find detailed information on what kind of jobs I can and cannot perform as a handyman in Quebec.
Thanks.
Call la Commission de la Construction in Quebec.
Business licence and liability insurance 2,000,000 will suffice . register gst number and pst number and off you go id imagine
The Commission was only slightly helpful and referred me to DACC whatever that is. I am hoping a Quebecer handyman reading this can give me the low down.
Thanks.
Hi,
Did you find an answer to this question?
Thanks.
Lars
No, I have received conflicting information from RBQ agents. Two have said that as long as I work on private residences, I may do any work except electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Another said I cant do any work without a general contractors license.
Update with answer to my question: Yes, a contractors licence IS required according to RBQ.
