I have a 25 year old furnace, noisy and inefficient. Baby on the way in the next 5 months and I can see the furnace needing to be on all day long to keep a large house warm all the time. I am thinking about a new high efficiency furnace but I heard that a heat pump may be a good alternative as it will also cool during the summer time. Not spendin too much is a priority and keeping the heat bills under control is a priiority. Do I buy a new furnace alone, then get a heat pump in the near future? Thanks
