12 years or so ago, we renovated our kitchen( we live in a townhouse condo) and put in a gas stove. My hubby who is a mill-write ( and trained to do gas fittings) did the work himself. We took out a permit, and had it inspected. All ok. All these years later, we want to renovate the kitchen again, but this time move the gas stove to the other side of the kitchen, which would involve, running the gas line oh, say 6-7 feet across the room. In this day and age, is my hubby still allowed to do the work, and do we need to get another permit? Since we just need to expend the line a bit?
Thanks.
Condo regulations typically require that you hire licensed contractors. You could check with your condo association to see if they would grant an exception and yes a gas permit is needed. Possibly also electrical and building permits depending on what precisely you are doing.
