I am an Italian man who is currently on a work trip to Toronto, I work for an Italian company that builds concrete mixer plants as an industrial electrician. I have been performing this task for about a year and a half.
In addition to the industrial electrician, however, for just over five years I have always worked in Italy as a technician and installer of heating and air conditioning systems.
My current goal is to be able to move here to Ontario, maybe by entering to work with a company that does jobs like those in which I already have more experience and skills, also because I have learned that here in Canada there is a lack of figures working in the construction industry or similar.
I would like to know, since I have almost seven years of work experience, five as a HVAC technician and installer, and almost two as an industrial electrician, if I could have a chance to have some facilitation to obtain a work certificate, Or if I had to start from scratch as a person with no experience?
Best regards,
Daniele
Hello Daniele,
As you have several useful years of experience you would be able to get good job opportunities in the technical fields you mentioned, but for promoting your job level and getting more benefits you can spend some time to get the related licenses and afterwards you will be work as a certified technician with background of good experience.
