How much should I expect to pay to install kitchen backsplash in the Toronto area including removing the old tile. We are buying the tile ourselves and will probably go with an arabesque or chevron/herringbone pattern. The area is 21 feet square. Just want to know how reasonable (or not) the quotes I get are.

I just completed a back splash in an upper class neighbourhood of Kitchener.
50 sq ft and I demoed old tile and installed new drywall.
This tile was similar to your choice but had multiple shades so a few of my guys said no.
My expensive tiler charged $2000 and the I charged $600 for demo.
I tried to be specific because it wasn't your ordinary backsplash
