Hey,
I have a basement to do later on and just curious about the cost of plumbing.
a) Setting up the drain, water pipes and shower pipe as well as toilet drain for a bathroom.
b) the drain and water pipes for a kitchen roughin.
The larger draining pipes are close to both. But the water pipes need to be done from scratch (ie taken somene off the main or one of the other pipes - pending code that im not sure of).
Cheers,
Filip
It would cost $900 for the finishing labour and material plus the cost of fixtures ie shower/tub toilet vanity ect ect.
Hi Filip,
I am assuming that you need to break up the floors for this so the safest way for you and your client is to hire a professional plumber. He can pull the permits and do the work to code.
If I was doing this, I would just pass the cost through to the client or have the plumber work directly for them.
The costs will probably be in the $1000's
The hot and cold water pipes are actually the easiest - the drain and vent sizing and routing is going to be way harder.
When it comes time for the project, put it in the "post your projects" section so you can connect with some local guys.
Good luck with it!

Hi,
Plumbing is 1 of the more expensive trades. Your average plumber goes for about 65 dollars an hour. On top of that, materials are also extremely expensive. Recently the value of copper has gone up exponentially.
Hello Filip,
I do not want to be rude but if you do not know how much to charge and you are not sure what the Canadian building requires you to do, maybe you should NOT be doing plumbing?
