We live in a three floor apartment building. We have aluminum windows from the early 1970's that show drainage stains on the stucco below.
We need to seal the windows so no water goes into the interior of the building. Also we need to have a solution that will prevent the staining of the stucco under the windows.
How much time is needed to seal aluminum windows above each other ( i.e. the set of first, second and third floor windows)?
General time is about 15 to 20 minutes a window. That's including removal. You would save time using scafolding due to the hight. Also keep in mind all workers should have safty arrest systems. Use a silicone exterior caulking.
Hope this helps.

You would be looking at about 20 minutes per window. I use an elastomeric caulking called Supra its about $5 per tube. As for the staining, on aluminum windows there is still steel parts, ie. screws, and joiners, so I would recommend either placing a dab of caulking over them, or giving them a quick dab of an exterior paint to match.
Thank-you!
