Hello,
I was thinking about adding a bedroom over my garage, about 350 square feet. Not sure if I would put a bathroom in there or not. Any idea how much this would cost? including the drawings and all that stuff?
Thanks
Stephen
Hi my name is Carlous Smith in response to your question the cost of adding 350 sq feet is estimated at $70.000 dollars. That price is 350*200.
I have a couple of questions
1) Is there an existing room there now?
2) Is there plumbing in the current space?
3) Are there stairs to this space?
If you could send a couple of pictures.
Adding a bedroom up is cheaper in comparison with building aside if no foundation reinforcement work will be involved. Normally prices start from $100 per square foot and might go up to $600 / ft2. Cost of man power and materials expenses combined might bring the total expenditures for building a second or upper floor up to $550,000 for 1,000 square feet living area.
Incorporation of a full size 6' x 8' bathroom with a separate 36" x 36" shower, 5' long acrylic bathtub and 60" wide double sink vanity will cost $19,000 - $28,000 for basic work complexity and standard, available in stock fixtures.
