How to cover stucco railings to prevent leaking

The three buildings in the Strata are stuccoed including the exterior deck railings. The railings have rounded tops which could result in leakage as the decks are part of the roofing membrane, The parge coat is now starting to crack and fall off.
Is it possible to get a recommendation on how to cover the tops of the railing to prevent leaking and to direct the water away from the stucco to prevent it from leaching and staining the stucco?
