How can I remove standard wood framing supporting header and secure new header against concrete cinder block firewall?
I wish to extend kitchen cabinets and countertop along firewall without having to cut around 2X4 header supports against concrete wall.
Can I cut into concrete block and hang header into block?

Normally you can remove a block and create a pocket for the header. However yours is a firewall which means you can not. It would kind of defeat the purpose of a firewall if you poke a hole in it. Depending on the load that the header carries an steel angle bracket bolted to the wall can be used. But you will have to hire a structural engineer to determine what is possible.
