HRV worthwhile in an older home?

My house is a bungalow built in 1958 and in New Brunswick. Is a hrv worth purchasing for an older home like mine?

We have insulation retrofitted under the siding. We are going to insulate the attic and the basement walls this fall. I question whether our improvements will tighten the house enough to need an HRV.
