Any deck surface if under the full glare all day will be hot on feet. Composite is not more cool or less than wood. Personally I like the feel of a nice warm "wood" deck on the footsies

I find that Trex gets hotter than most. I used a Saddle colour. Compared to Azek, Azek wasn't as hot.

Yes, composite decking is hot on bare feet and can burn your feet when it is direct sunlight. The temperature of the composite decking is critical in summer. If the decking is too hot, you cannot enjoy the outside on the deck. Some composite decking is cooler on your feet even in the direct sunlight.
