Looking at purchasing an older country home around 100 years old. Love the location and character but was told foundation needs work. The house is priced high and I'm wondering if its worth investing if the repair cost would be very high?
If you can, take a bunch of pictures inside, outside, overall, and close up and show them to a few foundation companies. Hopefully they can give you a ballpark estimate and you can use it to negotiate the price. Anything can be fixed, it's just whether the benefits outweigh the costs.
Good luck with it!
As the previous colleges mentioned is all depend on how much work would be involved. Meanwhile it is always not worth it to invest for such high priced old home that needs more work in the foundation and of course needs more work to renovate the house from the inside too.
