Is it legal for me to replace my own natural gas water heater in Ontario? Will my insurance coverage seize?

As a homeowner you can do gas line work and electrical in your own house. You do have to get it inspected afterwords. For gas call the TBA to arrange an inspection. Once it is inspected your insurance is not an issue.

Agreed. In Ontario a homeowner can do whatever to their own home as long as it is inspected by the proper authority.

ESA for electrical, TSSA for gas, city for most other things.
