Issue with wet canexel

We just took put the back wood patio ti replace it with a new one. Behind it, where the 2 8 was in contact with the house, the canexel is wet on seems rotten. What are our options to fix this without replacing the whole wall?
Everywhere else the canexel is sound and dry. I was told that canexel doesn't rot and it is possible to let it dry completely and install a new 2 8 on top of it.
Also is canexel susceptible to ants and or termites infestation?

I would suggest contacting a local supplier of the product to see what it can withstand, weather-wise. If it is just wet, let it dry and carry on. ...But, ... what caused it to become so saturated? Find that answer before any further construction.
