Jewel Stone versus concrete

What are you opinions about Jewel stone for porch and steps; we rarely use them to be honest since we use the garage.
We're doing stamped concrete in the back, side and walkway but can't afford the steps and porch as well. I'm not particular about the look but worried about durability and resistance to our canadian weather.

Jewel stone is a cement based product that is very durable in our climate. The design possiblities are endless with it. Like any product, it has to be installed properly.
