Kitchen Cupboard - Plastic Covering

I have white cupboards in my kitchen, and it appears that they are wood, with a white plastic covering. The plastic on one of the drawers beside the stove has melted somewhat from the heat (I'm assuming that's what it is), and seems to have shrunk and cracked. Is there an easy way to fix this? I really don't want to have to re-do all my kitchen cupboards!

Any suggestions for what I can do? I'm not super handy with these kinds of things.
