Not sure if you can help, have a living room window where my door used to be, wooden frame and all of a sudden, especially with a down pour it has started to leak at the top of the frame, have checked the roof and the eaves put not sure about the flashing under the window, it is under an overhang. Is it a window or some other problem?

You can check this out with a garden hose on a sunny day. Spray the top of the window. Water will find its way eventually. Their should be drip flashing on the top of the window was this done on the installation from the original door? Process of elimination you could send a photo.

If no leaking from spraying window then try spraying roof it may be coming in from behind shingles and soffit area getting in behind walls looking like a window leak. Wind can also cause water to come up under shingles.
