Maintaining a dust free work site

Well maybe not dust free but at least a lot less!

I would love one of these systems but the company does not ship to Canada as they can not offer warranty service here.

I'm always on the look out for any new ideas to mitigate dust as much as possible with my home owners projects. Already using plastic walls, automatic vacuums on the saws, cutting outside, window fans, shutting off the furnace. But it is always that small bit of dust that we kick up and lingers in the air and as you know it settles 3 floors up!!

Wondering what ideas the TrustedPros contractors use? Any neat ideas? Any filter systems you use now that work well?

G'Day Dave,

You are probably lookIn for something like an air scrubber with a pre-filter.

You could always invest in a full festool system.

Hey Dave,

I have been doing my research and came across the build clean filter myself. I was deterred by the same warranty issue and the price. I settled on the model posted below. Unfortunately I do not have it yet, but I will by the end of next week hopefully. It has three stages of filtration, allows the hepa filter to have a longer life. This model is about $1050 Canadian and the filters range from $2-$8 Canadian. The replacement hepa filter is roughly 200 but the life of that filter is dependent on how dirty your jobs are.

Link is below. It's small and transportable.

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for sending me the info and link of what you had found.

I had looked at something similar but was not sure if it would do the job I wanted.

Please let me know how the unit you have bought works out.

Hi Thomas,

I'm wondering if you had a chance to try out your new air cleaner? Have the results been what you wanted?

We use the dri eaze hepa 500 works good in a containment situation and customers love it just knowing were trying our best to keep dust down.

Took us from dusting everyday to now only at the end of the job now. think they are $1500 sometimes you need two but they work great.
