There is too much to give prices. Too much unknown. Need to know refrigerant, need to know whats in the way in basement for running new lineset, how much more electrical, Someone needs to look at it before saying. Could be 300 bucks could be 1200 bucks. Its unknown how long it will take and what surprises are there.

Hello Mona, I am from Saskatoon and obviously cannot bid on the job! But my advice to you as follows: 1. Air conditioners lose efficiency when the copper linesets that connect indoors to outdoors increase. 2. Someone has to confirm beforehand that the new total length between indoor and outdoor is permissible in the first place- may be check the unit model number with the manufacturer. 3. The price has to do with the actual size of the copper pipes, amount of refrigerant gas (freon)to be added, type of refrigerant gas and any other unexpected construction peculiars. 4. If you decide to proceed, ask the tech to ensure that the unit runs fine before he embarks on the process by taking all pressures and temperatures' readings so no disagreement aboutperformance happens afterwards.
