I just finished a pre-apprenticeship form work course, wanting to get into carpentry to learn various skills. I am hard working, personable, and reliable. Please contact me by email.

Hi Christina,
Tell us more about yourself, in what area are you located, how long was your apprentice program and where you would like to be in five years lets say. The more people learn about you, the better chances you will end up in the right place that makes you happy and earns you good money. The economy may be down right now but that will not last for sure. I wish you luck Christina.

Brad is on the money when saying the economy is down and it won't always stay that way. I just noticed even in my area a lot of businesses are closing there doors because nobody is buying or booking in. It can be a good thing or bad. The whole industry will soon turn around and if you are willing to travel there is always work. I find I can not limit my business to any local area or you will be dead i the water.
I am located at the DVP and Lawrence Ave., but I have a car so I am willing to travel where ever the work is. My pre-apprenticeship was in Woodbridge. It was a 6 week course on the basics of formwork. I also received my Fall Protection, WHMIS, and Confined Space Certificates. This course was my first exposure to the construction industry, and I love it. I am so eager to learn all aspects of carpentry. Right now I am reading the text book Carpentry by Leonard Koel, which is guiding me through the tools and techniques of the trade. In five years, my goal is to right my red seal ticket, and to start my own company. I have also thought about traveling to different countries to learn different techniques. But for right now I want to just get out there and learn as much as possible. I know the economy is not doing well now, but I am hoping that soon the weather will improve and jobs will start up again.
