Neighbour's Concrete Contractor made a mess of the street staining multiple driveways

My Neighbour hired a concrete company to pour his aggregate driveway. Fine and dandy. It's always nice to see your Neighbours improving their curb appeal.

They poured the driveway April 3 and the cement truck left a disaster behind..... I mean there is concrete all over the curbs, city boulevard portion of driveways and even the Homeowner's driveways (above sidewalk). One call to the city would create some fines no doubt, but I've decided to not go that route just yet.

For whatever reason, they worked during a rainy, gloomy time. As a result, multiple Neighbours drove through this mess leaving it on their driveways (my stamped concrete driveway included)... His driveway is the only clean one! The corrosiveness of the concrete has actually eaten the seal off my driveway (just sealed it 18 months ago so there should be plenty of seal left) because it's just lines where my tires go up and down...

I haven't spoken to any of the OTHER Neighbours about it just yet as the Neighbour who hired this company said it was going to be remedied this week that just passed (after I reached out to him - he should have contacted me), so I figured I'd leave the talk with the other Neighbours out of it as the last thing ya want on your street is politics (like there isn't enough of that going on in the world right now - yikes). However, I haven't heard a peep from anyone and it's just awful out there! Someone else must be upset, that's for sure!

The Contractor has been finished now for 18 days or so, so I'm questioning it all at this point. I'm officially upset.

Now for my question: If the GC doesn't do anything, what do u recommend my next step to be? There wasn't any company logos on vehicles, signs or anything else, so I have no clue who the company is. I don't want to shoot my mouth off and look as bad as he does is all, that's why I'm looking for some pro help.

Thanks for your time!

Overwhelmed in Burlington

******UPDATE******

Two workers finally arrived today to do the clean up (MAY6), dumbdowned the situation with my driveway, which resulted in some what of a heated argument. The 2 workers would not give me the name of their company. They did a horrible 1 hr job of powerwashing the street and a couple of driveways, left the concrete mess out front of another house, got in their car and left. After it dried, it didn't look any different.

I expressed my concern to my Neighbour who stated he was working from home. In person he said that he would give me the Owner"s # and I could speak to him about it. Later, he sent me a text stating that they still had to come back to do the work in his backyard and I could speak with the Owner then. I can only assume he had a change of heart based on the fact that perhaps he doesn't want any backlash since they still have work to do there, but that doesn't help my situation and clearly shows that he's more worried about his own situation. So I responded with stating that I needed to speak to him in person and that I'm not prepared to wait another month to speak to the Owner. I followed up with stating that if I didn't have the option to speak to the Owner they I would be forced to explore other options and that could be costly for the Contractor. I'm awaiting his response as we speak.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice to help ? Thanks

Every city has bylaws for this...contact your city bylaw line and make a official complaint, they will contact the homeowner and/or concrete company and order it cleaned , if not they will get fined. Neighbours cannot make a mess like like that or have overly untidy yards with junk, old cars etc. in them. There are a dozen bylaws against such things. And you should rattle feathers, such a neighbour is no friend to you or your fellow residents obviously as they have done nothing.

Call Burlington Bylaw, they will contact the home owner and contractor, the contractor can face significant fine if not cleaned up properly. Best of luck
