Hello. We are getting quotes to replace a concrete walkway at the front of our house. It is about 25' x 2.5' or 63 sq ft. Quotes we are getting range from about $63-$80 per square foot ($4000-$5000). Am I crazy or is that really high? We have worked with one of the contractor's previously and his quote was in the same range as others but I was figuring about $20-$30 per sq ft. Or is the cost higher for a smaller job like this due as all the forming, labour etc is basically the same as a larger walkway? Looking for some guidance from the experts here.

Hello David,

The cost being higher could be a possibility of an under load charge from the concrete company as it is a very small area.

Best of luck,
