Hi All
I need to buy an oil based primer and my question is, is the smell that bad? It will cost me $140.00 more to purchase the odorless brand than the regular one and wanted to know if this is worth it to eat the extra expense.
Hi Rachna,
Your tolerance level for odor my be higher than most if you perfer the saving money over odor, that choice would have to be decided by you and or the customer.
Odorless Primer-Sealer is a high-solids, low-VOC specialty primer for interior use when the performance of an oil-based primer is required, but odor is a concern. This product was designed for people traffic areas in commercial and residential usage. This product has less odor than most water-based primers.
The product features stain-blocking technology, which blocks some of the toughest stains, including stains from water, smoke, nicotine, graffiti and tannin. So the question to be asking yourself is, what is more important to you, odor or dollar as well as your application. Hope this helps.
