Just wondering the new shut down if Ontario for 14 days does that include home renovations? I know that major construction job sites like new buildings etc are good but what about me the home renovator going to a customers house to do a new bathroom? I would assume I'm shut down?

Hello Jason. I have decided to close the doors until further notice, if your in the position to stay home as well then do so it's only for a bit until this craziness gets back to normal. Stay safe

We are currently working on projects where clients are not living in the house do to the extent of the renovations. However Ontario had released a list of essential workplaces .

29.Construction work and services, including demolition services, in the industrial, commercial, institutional and residential sectors

That being the current state, the question is less can you and more should you.

Hope this helps.

Be safe, Mike

Hey,

I read through the essential services available and the way I took it is it is more of a job by job basis.

If a family needs their tub surround fixed because it's unusable then that would fall under maintenance.

A commercial retail unit needs an interior gut/demolition then that would be allowed.

I think home renovations, if the are not necessary should be avoided. Aside from the rules set forth we should look at how to best follow the governments recommendations.

Working at this time will put your client, their family, suppliers and yourself at risk. The risk might perhaps be mild with proper precautions. That said clients will understand the postponement.

I personally choose to stay home the next two weeks and work on company covid19 training and protocol.

Be safe, we need to work together on this, even when it means not working on the tools!

Item #28 includes ici construction and residential. There is also a provision for those businesses such as hardware stores who support the construction industry to remain open

Hi it's up to you and your customers. But I would say if the house is empty it's ok but if everybody is at home put it off for now. The risk is not worth it. Stay safe everyone

Stay home.

Buy gloves and masks via Amazon for when you can start up again.

Clients will be very cautious about who they let into their home. Be info savvy. Read up.

We all need to take this very, very seriously.

Best to all,

Andrew
