Patio Above Garage

Just wondering about building a small walkout patio from our Master bedroom where theres a window ?patio would be built above the garage.
Wondering a rough estimate $ and weather or not this is a job i can do
I'm hoping the patio would be approximately 10x10 floor space
with double sliding doors

Phil,
There is a few ways you can go about doing this. Will the deck be attached to the garage? or will it hang over the top without touching? How old is your house? Was it build within the last 10 years? It would be pretty hard to price the project without actually seeing it but from what I picture in my head you would be looking around $10-15 K. There are definately structural issues to consider so if you don't have expierence then I wouldn't try to tackle it.
