Permit and value for sliding wall divider

We want to install sliding glass divided walls / panels to the dining area to convert it into a den.

Will it require a permit? The dining room already has "pre-existing opened up walls" so we are just installing the sliding panel to close the opening (we are not putting up new wall frames).

Aso, if a permit is required, will our place be reevaluated by BC assessment and increase the value? (the living space is so huge we are merging the dinning space into that instead).
