I want to switch aluminum wires to copper in a bedroom. What kind of costs am I looking at for this kind of a job and do I need some permits for this in Quebec? I have been reading different sites and I am more confused now!

Thanks in advance for your help.

For what reason do you want to replace them? If there are any rooms which are being renovated and open, remove the aluminum and get a licensed electrician trained in residential aluminum, to make the transition. This type of work is not for DIY people, you'll cause more troubles than good.
