Please help me! My plaster ceiling is falling

My landlord lowered my ceiling and use drywall but left the original plaster ceiling now the plaster ceiling is falling onto the lowered drywall ceiling and I'm wondering if that's dangerous or if the ceiling that's new will protect us

You can warn your handlord by official notice, if it is too dangerous contact with your rental board and make a complain on urgent base. Yo3u landlord should take the action immediately. Its you right.
