Do you have any source of labor price reference in Toronto to mach these prices with contractor prices? For example; how can I find how much it cost for tiles installation on floor in Toronto?

From experience, a Contractor who knows what he is doing will price a job based on its own challenges, and will not quote an unrealistic price only to come back to you later and ask for more money because something came up that was unforeseen.

When it comes to renovations, there are many unforeseen factors that are part of a job.

To give you an analogy, its like asking "what is the price of a car?" ...you need a little more information...

Best of luck.

Good morning, the labor price for tile installation is $42 per hour. It's best to pay the Contracter per square foot, it works out better

There are too many unknown variables to answer your question properly.

Type of tile, layout (both of the area and how you want the tiles to be laid), whether you use a professional or someone off of free classified ads - It will all come into play.

I suggest you take pictures and have a detailed list of work that needs to be done especially preparation for tiling the floor. It all depends what needs to be done before the tiles are installed is ditra going down plywood subfloor in floor heating Etc get a detailed list and send it to tile companies and ask them for a standard price

Dani, the only way to be sure you are getting a fair price is to get multiple quotes on the job. That will give you a bead on where the prices are at. They can vary widely based on the level of quality the tiling contractor will provide. If you are very clear and specific, send pictures of the space as it now exists, share tile choice, and hardware choice, options (niches, benches, etc.) you can get a range of prices. Without this information it is impossible to even get close to a final price. Good luck!

Hi Dani

I believe Victor just took the words right out of my mouth. I can't urge customers enough

now a days to do there homework when it come to having work done in their homes. Every job is different and poses different challenges.

Look at reviews, look at past jobs, even call

past customers for verbal reviews , very few

Contractors will oppose this.

Good luck

Two options for you:

-get multiple quotes. Price varies with how much prep is required. type & size of tile, grout joints, etc.

- go to tile dealers and ask what the going rate is for the area. Again, it will be a range.
