I have installed 2 different range hoods. The first one was (I thought) really noisy. So got a second one, but it is also noisy. Now I am wondering if my venting duct has an issue. I have a 450CFM with 4x10 ducting going down the wall to the floor and across the house then out. We can't vent it up as this is a 2 storey house. And kind of limited with the 4x10 because of the wall. There is about 6 feet going to the floor then another 14 feet out with 2 90 degree bend (plus another one for the outside vent).
How could I improve the suction and the noise of my system?
Thank you for the message.
We would have to send a technician out to have a look.
450cfm?...all range hoods are noisy!! especially one with that much flow...since they are used only intermittently I really do not see what the issue is?..they make noise period. In 20 years in this business never seen or heard of a "quiet" range hood. Sizing is also essential 4" may be undersized and you need 6 " or even 8"...chick manufactures instructions
