I hired a well known construction company to remove a 13x3 concrete porch. they sub-contracted it out...they removed it all BUT left the footings between the posts they dug out...the main company said its what we do they try not to disturb the ground??? is this legit because i paid for removal of the concrete...they said they removed the porch lke they said..footers are not part of the deal ??
Unfortunately there are many variables that I just dont know the answer to but as a concrete contractor myself if the concrete porch is to be replaced and the footings are in good solid condition then you would not want to disturb them. Like I first mentioned I do not know the entire situation or the condition of the footings to say much more.
If the porch is to be replaced, the footings being left will save you money.
No need to take them out, just to replace them again a week later.
Best,
Andrew
