Removing Popcorn Ceiling

Hi there,
What is the cost to remove the texture, sand and repaint the ceiling in a 2400 sq foot home with vaulted ceilings? All the rooms are textured except three bathrooms.

Hello Chris,
It's hard to say without knowing more information such as ceiling hight, access protection of existing elements. You are talking about a very messy project. As a budget I would estimate $3.50 a sqft plus access plus protecting floor, raillings. stairs, cabinets, dust profing all your heating vents. plus cleaning.

You should really ensure that the popcorn ceiling does not contain asbestos, which if often can. There are various avenues to have it tested. If you would like further information, please feel free to contact me.
