Repair to load bearing wall

If the wall is open and a new post is just required it shouldnt be more than 3-5k including engineered stamp on repair. You can get it done for less if its not major structural change hard to say without pictures and floor layouts to see where your weights are being transferred to the basement.

Hi Gwen,

No one can give you a semi accurate quote without more information. Post again including a couple of photo's and let us know if it is easy to get at. Is this a basement wall with 2x6 construction. Or is it on the main floor of the house with 2x4. More info and I will give you an accurate price.
