Replaced my pressure switch and now my pump won’t cut out

My well pump was turning off when we ran the water for showers or longer periods but only for 10 seconds at first, then 20 seconds , increments getting longer and longer. The switch looked terrible , corroded/ blackened terminals. I replaced the pressure switch and now everything works but the pump won't shut off! I didn't replace the pressure gauge on the top of the holding tank. It looks pooched. Would this cause the pump to cycle continuously?
