It is very dangerous for builders to erect a wall cavity in the garage as a

return air duct to feed the furnace (due to carbon monoxide)

How would I know that my garage does not have such a dangerous fitting?

Do I have it or do I not have such a dangerous thing in my garage?

How do I ensure that I do not have it?

Thanks

Usually no body do have a returne air in an outside walls due to many reasons not only the dangerous of carbon monoxide, but if they do.

. You can start by doing some smoke inside the garage and to check it in the return air duct by a combustion analyzer ppm with furnace high speed fan.

. Visual test of how the returne air duct designed and if it passes threw the any garage walls, if there is an access.
