Roof - Shingle Replacement

I am in need of replacing/upgrading the shingles on my cottaqe in Buffalo Point MB. The cost and quotes for me to have a contractor come out is very expensive.
Is this a project I can legally take on myself or do I require to have a permit or license?

Most town's don't require a permit, but it's best to check.
Yes you can do it yourself. It will most likely take you 3 or 4 days to finish. So make sure there is no rain in the forcast and maybe only do one side at a time, just in case.
