Hi,
I am just about to start framing my basement. It will be an open space with a 3 piece bathroom where the builder has roughed in the drains.
I'm not sure how to approach the rough in area for where the bathroom is. A few questions on this:
1) based on the current configuration, would the proposed builder layout on the blueprint work? This is also the setup I want to go with.
2) My main issue is framing around where the sink drain pipe is. The vertical drain from ceiling to ground angles towards the interior. I don't really want to start framing there because I'd be losing a good 12 inches or so. Is it possible that if the slab is dug up in that area then the pipe could be re-routed to have a more vertical run? Ideally I'd like it to be in the framing.
Any thoughts or ideas are welcome. My first post, I apologize if I'm not clear enough.
Hi Reggie
It is maybe possible to dug up slab.We have done many basements whete the bathroom location is not as convenient as the home owners would prefer and after jackhammering an area, re route the drains and reposition things.
Is best to see it personally to get a better understanding, if you are still looking for a company to frame and do the potential plumbing work ,we could do it.
Regards
Paul
