There is a long horizontal wire in the center of the garage door.
I have to lift the wire up to unlatch the lock at the side of the single car garage door.
One day the long wire may break!
Is there a better and more robust way to open the garage door?
How could I open the garage door (from the inside of the garage) without having to pull the long horizontal wire up (which would unlatch the lock at the right side of the garage unit)?
I do not want a remote/automatic garage door opener due to safety reasons.
Thanks
There is a product called a "slide lock". Basically you can only lock / unlock it from inside of the garage door. That is the only way or having no wired lock or operator.
