I was wondering what the cost would be to install 16 windows and 2 doors.

The windows would have to be re framed and the out side french doors would have to be framed as well.

$4000.00 for windows. Doors not included.

Hello,

The price will depend with the size of windows and what the extent of work needs to be done to prepare for the installation. It is very difficult to quote without this information.

Thank you,

You will have to give more information. The size of windows and the size and style of doors.

The difference in quotes can be thousands of dollars depending on your needs.

A lot of questions to be asked first.

Old windows to be removed?

Do the new windows come with the new frames and all I have to do is remove old insert new window and shim and trim?

The same with door is there one to be removed?

But you asked for a price, about $100 pre window and $250 for the door. Subject to inspection before confriming and contract.

Sounds like great job.

Thanks

You need to measure the windows and doors, plus include the type and material you wish to use ie wood, vinyl, metal.

Billy,

I agree with the others in that more info is required.

Size of each window, location (main floor, second level etc.) type of window, (wood, vinyl, metal, & type of frame), and your location from the installer. You are probably looking at a minimum of $3500 (that's a pure guess) assuming they are all relatively easy installs. Bow (bay & large picture) windows are extra. Doors also vary depending on size and ease on installation. Plus, consider if the walls are not plumb and/or the openings are not square, the issue becomes more challenging.

Best advise, ask two or three local installers to visit and provide an estimate. Local will save travel expenses and, assuming they are qualified, will provide follow up if needed. I would not spend a lot of time on this, ... more than three estimates becomes confusing and the price should not vary too much.

Just get people you feel comfortable with.

There are many variables to consider, size of the window, whether I have to put up a temporary support beam for the trusses. Are the RSO's rough stud openings the same as the new windows.

Rough estimate anywhere between $60 and $180 per opening. With out seeing it.

Hi Billy,

If you are serious about this, why not put your requirements in the "post your project" section so you can get some local contractors to give you accurate quotations.

We can't see what you can so there is no way to give you anything meaningful.

Good Luck with it!
