The granite at the sink in front has a big crack and a rust color. I have tried to get the contractor to replace this part but they only offer me a discount to replace. Do I have any recourse?

Sorry: We have granite counter tops. The granite at the sink in front has a bit crack and a rust color. They sent a tech out to smooth it out, but they said that when installed they used something that when wet caused the rust. The crack is getting bigger.

Is there anything I can do to get them to replace this part of the granite?

Hi Dottie,

Seems your dealing with a less than reputable company. Unfortunately you may have quite the battle on your hands.

There's no compromise for a finished look. Especially for solid surface countertops! Ridiculous!

I sincerely wish you the best with this issue and hope you get the results you deserve!
