I am currently building a home and we have run into an issue. Our en-suite has a toilet room that is 3 x 5 1/2 And while doing the plumbing we found out that the main support beam runs dead Center of the room. There is not enough room to move the toilet side to side and to alter the framing would require the entire half of the house to be changed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The First person to contact is your Designer or the Architect. If they do not have the solution then the Plumber on site can suggest a few options.
The situation is not completely explained so if i suggest ANYTHING may work or may not work you can look at the wall hung toilet as an option 2 x 4 stud wall GEBERIT make for-2x4-construction/is available. here is the link: www.geberitnorthamerica.com/products/installation-systems/geberit-toilet-cisterns/
Hope that helps and resolves your problem.
We looked into the wall hung but as main beam runs the length of the room, and it looks like most wall hung toilets have a straight down drain, we still would run into the same problem. Also the wall is 2x6 construction behind the toilet. Do you know if they make any wall hung toilets with offset drains?
