Hi, we just moved into a 15 year old house with hydronic radiant heat throughout. The floors are currently a dated ceramic tile. We are looking at installing vinyl planks on top of the ceramic tiles. Has anyone done this before and if so, how did it turn out?
Suggestions and alternatives are also welcome.
What about carpeting over the tiles? An area rug?
Thank you.
I recommend you stop in to a reputable flooring company that sells engineered flooring. We install engineered flooring over all heated floors since it's floating and we do not have to use nails. However some engineered flooring are not designed to take the heat so you need to check with the distributor or retailer to get the exact engineered flooring recommended
