How much will it cost to dig out a foundation down to the footings and install waterproofing membrane and other waterproofing materials. The length is between 10 and 15 metres.

It would need to be refilled with aggregate. (Ottawa, Ontario)

Only looking for cost.

That's such a hard thing to quote without seeing

You would be around $250 per liner foot.

Need to see the job, access, logistics etc.

What kind of material are you planning to use?

What is the height of the basement?

You can probably get away with the standard dump proofing tar spray and dimple board wrap.

Looking at $150-$300

Information Update: This is a exterior unit of a 5-plex (Townhouses all connected in a row. There is immediate and reasonably troublefree access to the backyard. A backhoe would be required. A 10x10 floating deck was replaced two years ago. The deck covers 50% of the area that needs to be dugout. It would need to be dismantled to get access to the house foundation here. As well the small shared wall is exactly where the foundation is leaking from. Unfortunately this is located on neighbour's side. Their is a 6 foot fence. Their is also a crumbling deck on this side and his deck in the way of getting at this area. The fence would need to be dismantled here,as well as the deck. See the photo as it is a very tight area for a backhoe to get in there. This neighbour's wall was dugout years ago and they used black tar, and membrane. They have no leaking.
