With the broken boards in the center support of the trusses who can replace them and what is involved. The trusses look like they are undersized compared to new construction. the house was built in 1981
Hi Harold, It sounds like one or more trusses have either come apart or broke. The repair should involve a structural engineer if the break is in a critical area. Some repairs can be made from within the attic by realigning the broken truss and either sister new lumber to reinforce it or add a plywood gusset to bridge the joint. In any case, we have an engineer available to review something like this and a team to do the repairs. In order to provide you with a quote, we will need to see the job. Please advise accordingly if you are interested. Thanks.
