What are my options for foundation?

The foundation on my old bungalow is totally shot and has to go, but the house is pretty solid.
I am wondering:
a) what are my options?
b) is it possible to replace the basement using ICF concrete forms and creating a first floor? The house it built into the side of a hill.
Also, is it possible to make the footprint of this new first floor larger than the wood frame house that goes on top?
