Someone seems to be tripping the breaker at night. I have a smart light bulb that turns on everytime it happens. And the light wakes me up. The person I suspect is the tenant in my basement. I got someone to put a box around the panel but the person still manages to trip my breaker. It shuts off and turns back on.
How does the person trip the lights even when the panel is inaccessible?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I will look into the matter along those lines.
Breakers can trip for several reasons but the most common are overloading the circuit (plugging and running too many loads on a single circuit) or a short to ground. Hope this helps.
