Hi, I am redoing my powder room. Floors are shiny black porcelain and backsplash is a brushed metal tile in silver, black and dark pewter.

What colour do I paint the walls?

Hi,

Due to it being more of a rich backdrop with metals, black and pewter I would recommend a cloud white for a clean bright backdrop.

Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter, or Collingwood would be nice as grays. I would go even lighter gray, almost white. I would suggest Benjamin Moore wedding veil.

Well you have two neutral colour times at the moment so you are free to tie in any colour you want at the moment! If your doing makeup and such in there you'll probably want to maintain the neutrality so your finished colours aren't affected! You'll also have to consider how much area is going to be painted. If it's a smaller area I'd say go with a darker colour that may tie in the rest of your house. If the paintable area is greater that 70% of your surface area in your powder room then keep a moderate tone. Light gray or taupe toned colours.

We suggest

Harmony or kitchen and bath paint.

Colours like

Simply white or first star (offwhite/grey)

And if you envisioned more colour, something along the lines of sea salt, which is kind of a light green or conservative grey.

But we suggest staying lighter in colour because of it being a smaller space and because of the existing dark flooring.

Hi just received your question. If you haven't already chosen a colour, I would suggest a nice bright white ie: Simply White by Benjamin Moore or a soft grey.

Good luck.
